Did you hear? Natalie is pregnant! This is the first thing that has really made us feel like adults… sorta. I mean we will always be “us” but now we will just have a little one in tow. So what happens when you are a photographer and your best friend is pregnant? You head to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and create a¬†photo essay. This will be an emotional journey for me, but growing old with Natalie has always been something that I’ve looked forward to. I just cant wait to meet the little bundle of joy in August.

OMG!!!! How exciting!!!!! So cute!!! I love the pic with the ultrasounds in it. It’s the year of the snake in Chinese culture…. A great year to have a baby. But she has to name it Snake Blisskin. Congrats Nat!!! And it’s hilarious how Rinds is talking like the dad lol “we’ll always be us, just with a little one in tow” :-* big kisses to all of you!

These are incredible, love them.

When we talked with Courtney and Adam about a shooting location, we brought up midtown, and they were in! Detroit has so many great neighborhoods, we figured we owe it to our lovely city to show off more than just downtown. It was a little chilly and overcast, but we stayed warm and spent most of the time laughing, as you can see in the photos. They’re a great couple and we had a ton of fun, we’re looking forward to their wedding this September!

It’s the middle of March, and we’ve had an amazing year already. Memphis. Ribs! Fried everything! Hospitality! We overdosed in all three, with a dash of Elvis sprinkled on top. We had the pleasure of dropping in on our best UK buds, Molly and Gary, who were traveling the south on vacation. This was a fun little extended weekend, and the first step in one of our goals for this year, to travel more. If all goes as planned there will be a lot more posts like these in 2013. Although I hope they include some fruits and vegetables.

A couple weekends ago we spent a frigid afternoon laughing and having fun with two delightful people, and their beautiful dog. Angela and Eric were real troopers and braved the cold; and it turned out great! We are so excited to photograph their wedding this summer!
